Mexican NFL Player Alfredo Gutierrez’s Journey to Super Bowl Victory

Alfredo Gutiérrez joined the San Francisco 49ers practice squad in 2021 and is now looking to make history in the NFL. The offensive lineman dreams of becoming the first Mexican to emerge from a national university in win a Super Bowl ring.

For now, the Mexican has already gone down in history by joining Eduardo Castaneda, as the only two Mexicans who graduated from Aztec universities to reach a Super Bowl. Castañeda did it in 2008 with the Arizona Cardinals

After the victory in the Levi’s Stadium, Gutiérrez joined his teammates in the celebration receiving the ‘NFC champions’ t-shirt. However, moments later, he gave the shirt to his father, who was celebrating with them.

“We came from playing in the streets, now we are one step away from winning the Super Bowl. Imagine how I feel, the proudest father in the world,” said the father of the Mexican player.

Notably Isaac AlarconGutiérrez’s compatriot, is also part of San Francisco, since the former player of the Dallas Cowboys He signed a contract with the Bay team to be part of the reserve team for the following season.
