The powerful second row from Stade Toulousain was injured in the knee on Sunday against Bath in the Champions Cup.

The match won against Bath caused great damage to Stade Toulousain. Third-row Anthony Jelonch suffered a ruptured ligament in his right knee and his season is apparently over. To replace him in the group of 34 players preparing for the next Six Nations Tournament, Fabien Galthié and his staff decided to summon his club teammate, Alexandre Roumat, who had already been summoned to Marcoussis but has not yet honored his first international cape.

Another injured player on Sunday: second-row Emmanuel Meafou. Eligible for the French XV recently, after his French naturalization, the player of Australian origin was hit in the knee against Bath. The FFR has made its package official, without specifying the duration of its unavailability. “We cannot comment on the deadlines. Medical monitoring provided by Stade Toulouse.”

The name of his replacement will be communicated during the day. The U20 world champion, Posolo Tuilagi (Perpignan) could experience his first call-up to the “big” Blues.
