Manchester United is having another bad season. The fallen superpower also lost to Nottingham Forest last weekend and therefore dropped to seventh place in the Premier League. The new policymakers therefore want to go through the player core with a broad brush.
In 2005, the English superpower largely came into the hands of the Glazer family. Great successes were also initially achieved under the American owners. But since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson as head coach/manager, the club has entered a downward spiral.
The supporters have been fed up with the Glazers for some time now, who have always been the target of the supporters’ protests. And eventually the Americans showed themselves willing to sell a significant portion of the shares. A suitable buyer was also found in Jim Ratcliffe.
INEOS gets the power
The British businessman is the strong man behind chemical company INEOS. He is also a big sports fan and has quite a bit of experience in the sports world. With INEOS, for example, Ratcliffe owns a successful cycling team and is closely involved with F1 racing stable Mercedes.
It is therefore expected that the new minority shareholder will leave a significant mark on the sporting policy. Sporting director John Murtough should already have access. Jean Claude Blanc and especially Sir Dave Brailsford, with whom Ratcliffe had worked closely on previous projects, would again have an important role within the new structure.
Big cleaning coming up

Casemiro, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane could leave in January in an interesting offer. The expiring contracts of Anthony Martial, Tom Heaton, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Johny Evans will not be extended for the time being, although this could change in certain cases. Finally, there would be no follow-up to the loans of Sergio Reguilón and Sofyan Amrabat. In this way, the club hopes to create space for fresh forces.
