Antananarivo, January 13, 11:30 a.m. – When the Malagasy people are recognized for their talent. Jain and Anisha Jo, two Malagasy singers, are in the running for the Aficia Music Awards. It is with her album “Lumière” that the big winner of the “Star academy” was chosen by the public, to be one of the artists who will try to win the favorite prize of the Aficia music awards. Jain, for her part, is in the “Female Pop Artist” category. She will compete for this title alongside eight other singers. This mixed-race Malagasy singer-songwriter released her first album, “Zanaka” in 2015, an album which was certified double platinum in 2016 and diamond in 2018.
This is the second edition of the Aficia music awards. 81 artists nominated in nine different categories will compete for these titles. Voting takes place on the Aficia music awards page on the Instagram platform, because it is Internet users who will award these prizes to the big winners of the competition. They have until Monday January 14 at 12 p.m. to express their choice. The artists with the most votes will qualify for the final which will be held from January 15 to 23. The official results as well as the presentation of the trophies will take place on January 24.
