Las Vegas Raiders Extend Dominance Over Denver Broncos with 27-14 Victory

Las Vegas.- Aidan O’Connell passed for 244 yards and two touchdowns, Zamir White ran for 112 yards and a flawless Raiders pass rush helped Las Vegas maintain its dominance over the Denver Broncos with a 27-14 victory today.

It was the Raiders’ eighth consecutive victory over their AFC West rival and 10th in 11 games. That includes a 4-0 record in Las Vegas.

Both teams finished their seasons 8-9 outside of the playoffs with a lot of questions for both franchises. That includes whether Raiders owner Mark Davis will make interim coach Antonio Pierce the full-time coach or whether he brings in someone from outside the organization. The Las Vegas team finished 5-4 since Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels and fans want Pierce to stay on the job.

O’Connell overcame an injury to the index finger on his throwing hand. He did not play on the Raiders’ first offensive series of the second half, but threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers on the first play of the fourth quarter to put Las Vegas ahead 24-7.

The Raiders’ Davante Adams reached 100 receptions for the fourth consecutive season, joining the Bills’ Stefon Diggs as the only players to do so in that span. Antonio Brown, who had six straight seasons with Pittsburgh from 2013-18, holds the NFL record.
