Lithuanian basketball club Vilnius “Wolves” and head coach Ķēstutis Kemzūra agreed on termination of cooperation.

The Lithuanian became the captain of “Wolves” in March 2023. This season, Latvian basketball player Artūrs Žagars also played under his leadership until he got injured.

Currently, “Wolves” ranks third in the Lithuanian League (LKL) table with 12 successes in 17 matches. Meanwhile, in the ULEB Eurocup, the Vilnius team is in the eighth position in Group A. It was the loss in the game against “Prometey” (64:91), which took place in Riga, that turned out to be Kemzur’s last as head coach.

Under the leadership of Kemzura, the wolves took the third position in the LKL with 12 victories in 17 games, but in the Eurocup with five victories in 15 matches they are eighth in group A, with the hopes of qualifying for the playoffs remaining minimal.
