Juventus has secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Italian Coppa. In their own Allianz Stadium, the low-flying Salernitana was chopped to pieces: 6-1. Nice addition: our 18-year-old compatriot Joseph Nonge Boende came on in the final quarter. In the next round, another bite-sized piece awaits Juventus with Frosinone.

After just two minutes, the Old Lady was already behind. Federico Gatti made a painful mistake, causing Salernitana to stun the fans in Turin. With the emphasis on ‘even’, because Massimiliano Allegri’s troops ultimately scored six more times. Among them are some gems, which our 18-year-old compatriot Joseph Nonge Boende was also able to experience from the field. He made his official debut for Juventus in minute 76.

It was already clear a few days ago that Nonge would not have to wait long for his first playing minutes. After the 1-0 win against Romelu Lukaku’s AS Roma, coach Allegri already hinted at his debut. “Another youngster who we will soon see in action is Nonge,” said the Italian tactician, who has often opted for the youth this season to bring enthusiasm to the business team. “He is growing and improving every day. He plays very good football.”

Nonge exchanged the youth of Anderlecht for that of Juventus more than two years ago. This season, the 18-year-old midfielder started the competition with the NextGen, the promising team that is active in the Serie C (third division). He signed a new contract in June, which now runs until mid-2026. Nonge becomes the third Belgian to play for Juventus’ first team. Koni De Winter and Daouda Peeters preceded him.
