At the foyer of the old mulberry tree, the judo club recently organized a wonderful evening for its judokas. After an event, the participants all received a Christmas hat and a snack. A friendly drink enhanced the end of the year.
This was an opportunity to recall members’ participation in various competitions in the region, such as the Nîmes tournament with a club representative, Éloïse Ferraud.
A first junior day took place in Alès, during which: Mathilde Molero (1st), Nattan Denoyelle Piris (2nd) and Selena Dombres (3rd) stood out. Louis and Lubin Dargorn Reynes and Léo Assante Di Capillon did not reach the podium but put up great fights.
At the Gard junior championships, the club was represented by four judokas. Thus Rafael Schimansky finished 3rd just like Luqa Denoyelle Piris and Victor Bourneton Aymard. They qualified for the regionals in Mèze. Léa Lemarois Batte did not reach the podium but was not unworthy.
In total, the club presented 10 judokas and obtained 6 podiums. Thanks to athletes and parents were sent as an encouraging gateway for the new year 2024.
