The co-pilot from Jaén José Luis Criado was “proud” this Tuesday to be the Spanish representative with participations in the Dakar Rally, with 32 presences, and highlighted the rapport he has with Jordi Juvanteny, the driver who will be driving the KH-7 team truck, in a test that will begin on the 5th from the ancient city of Al-Ula, in Saudi Arabia.

The third crew member in the cockpit is Xavi Ribas, responsible for the innovative technology that allows Juvanteny’s veteran MAN 6×6 to use a hydrogen/HVO mixture (renewable diesel from disposable oils) as fuel for the Dakar.

This iconic truck has accumulated 17 victories in 6×6 and four in production and in this sense Criado spoke on the team’s official networks: “It is the third year of this project, in which we are fully involved, with more and more courage and more projection towards the future. Practically, the carbon footprint of our truck will be zero. “We want to show that there is another way to do races, another way to participate,” he said. José Luis Criado.

Dakar 2024 will be the 46th edition of the legendary race and the fifth held in Saudi Arabia.
