Jordan Loyd back on the court at the best time for Monaco

The principality club announced that its leader was finally fit to play for the reception of Baskonia in the Euroleague on Tuesday January 9.

Having undergone back surgery during the off-season, Jordan Loyd finally returned to action at the end of October, before being sidelined again due to pain once again linked to his back. In all, since the start of the season the American leader will have only played 5 small matches in the Euroleague so far.

His return comes at the right time for the Monegasque club. Not only to relieve Mike James (19.6 points, 5.2 assists) in creation and scoring, but also because Elie Okobo has been sidelined from the group for several days. With the return of Matthew Strazel and the rise (finally) of Kemba Walker, the Monegasque lead seems to be in good hands.

Currently, the rock players are in 8th place with a barely positive record (10 wins, 9 losses). The return of their leader should therefore allow them to aim for the top 6 of the Euroleague, synonymous with direct qualification for the play-off.
