Jan Vlap believes that Heerenveen should play with more bravado against AZ next Sunday. He says this in the podcast Broadcaster Abe.
Vlap believes that the Frisians should respond to the 3-0 defeat at Excelsior last week against AZ on Sunday: “That is only normal and the public can expect that.” According to Vlap, Heerenveen must play with more bravado against the Alkmaarders: “You have to stand higher on the field, just do it. When you leave, you do so with your chest up, because then you have done everything you can.”
In response to a question from a listener, the duo also asks when you start to accept that you are no longer a sub-topper: “In the stadium you are constantly confronted with the club’s rich past.” Vlap thinks that many supporters have in the back of their minds the fact that the club no longer plays in the top 6 as standard: “That is slowly starting to sink in.”
