The UBB opener, slightly injured in the hand, was once again excused from training. Gabrillagues and Mauvaka are still among the potential starters.

In Marcoussis

Matthieu Jalibert, the Bordeaux-Bègles opener, was once again spared during the training of the XV of France this Thursday in Marcoussis. The Girondin number 10 was slightly cut on his left hand and received three stitches. To replace him, it was Antoine Gibert who occupied the position of opener, in place of Thomas Ramos who played there on Wednesday.

The Toulouse player slipped to his usual full-back position. Louis Bielle-Biarrey, who was at full-back on Wednesday, returned to his winger position. Otherwise, no changes in the team of presumed starters (blue bibs) with still the returning Paul Gabrillagues in the second row and Peato Mauvaka in the hooker position.

This training took place without the six players released Wednesday evening to join their club, in accordance with the new agreement signed between the FFR and the LNR. On the other hand, the five players called by the staff to be training partners were present: the second row Posolo Tuilagi (19 years old, Perpignan), the third row and former U20 captain Lenni Nouchi (20 years old, Montpellier), winger or fullback Théo Attissogbé (19 years old, Section Paloise), third row Maxime Baudonne (20 years old, Racing 92), and flyhalf or fullback Léo Barré (21 years old, Stade Français).

A distinguished guest was present at the edge of the Pierre-Camou CNR field. Henry Tuilagi, Poloso’s dad and icon of Perpignan (dressed in a traditional loincloth) and one of the young player’s brothers, had indeed come to attend the Blues’ training.

As for potential replacements (orange bibs), we found Julien Marchand, Dorian Aldegheri, Reda Wardi, Romain Taofifenua, Paul Boudehent, Cameron Woki, Nolann Le Garrec and Yoram Moefana.
