Simone Inzaghi he is beaming after the Super Cup semi-final in which Lazio dominated, reaching the final. In the second semi-final of the Italian Super Cup, the match against Lazio ends 3-0 for Inter. Many high marks in Inzaghi’s team. Dimarco is the MVP: he deserves 7.5, like Calhanoglu. Thuram, Lautaro and Bastoni also did well. Mkhitaryan and Barella. Pedro was disastrous in Lazio: 4 on the report card. “We’ve been playing well for two and a half years”
As a true perfectionist, however, Inzaghi is not satisfied: “We all have tonight’s match in mind but The team has been playing well for two and a half years. It is limiting to talk about this evening, because in recent years we have always played good football and achieved important trophies. This year the boys have been playing excellent games since July 13th and are making a great journey, but we always have to understand where we can improve. Today I am very satisfied, amazing game but there are still things we could have done better. Now we need to recover our energy. The final in two games? That’s what football is asking for right now and we adapt.”
Barella: “We haven’t had this much fun in a long time”
Voted best of the match, Nicolò Barella also enjoyed himself: “It was a really good match, we had fun on the pitch like we hadn’t had in a long time. Lazio are difficult to face, today we were good, playing with quality. We have I fought so hard to be at this level, but there is still a lot missing. We want to win the Super Cup, we have to keep working. The crossbar? I would have liked to score, but it doesn’t matter, the team comes first.”
