In the indoor football superleague, “Jēkabpils lūši/Ošukalns” met at home with the last-placed team of the tournament, FK “Madona” on Saturday. Jēkabpilians had experienced losses in three previous games, celebrating the last victory on November 25. The team is in 6th place in the tournament table.
At the beginning of the match, the hosts attacked more dangerously. Richard Raščevski had a couple of chances to score a goal, which was the first time in the “Lynx” team this season. It was he who opened the score in the 8th minute, when the ball hit Yegor Trofimov after a corner kick from the Madonians. He redirected it to R. Raščevski, who, unhindered by anyone, sent it past the goalkeeper precisely in the goal – 1:0 in favor of the Jēkabpilians. After another two minutes, Maksims Potlovs took advantage of the guests’ passivity in defense. He shot at the goal from the right side, and the ball flew into the goal – 2:0. After a while, Oskar Zepp hit the post, who also played the first game after missing several seasons. Before that, however, he had a recorded foul, so the goal would not have counted anyway. The Jēkabpilians continued to attack, and once again Raščevski had a couple of chances, but the goal was scored by the Madonians. The visiting goalkeeper threw the ball across the entire field to the player who was already on duty at the “Lynx” goal. The goalkeeper of the home team made a mistake in the outing – the ball flew over him directly into the goal after a header from the opponent – 2:1. M. Potlov restored the two-goal advantage at the end of the first half. He received O. Zepp’s pass while standing with his back to the goal, and put the ball into the net with his heel – 3:1. The first half ended with this result.
At the beginning of the second half, Madonna’s team had a good chance to score, but J. Trofimov played selflessly in defense. In the 26th minute of the match, M. Potlovs saw Vadims Atamanukovs in front of the goal. An accurate pass followed, Vadim’s shot from the air, and the result became 4:1. Finally, in the 36th minute, Aleksej Sergeev scored 5:1, assisted by Aleksej Reuts. The result did not change further, and “Jēkabpils lūši/Ošukalns” won a convincing victory. A. Sergeevs was recognized as the best among the “lynxes” and won the traveling lynx. Emīls Atamaņukovs, Mārtiņš Rubļevskis, Aigars LinĆgis and Aivars Danilovs also took part in the Jēkabpilians team in this match. The goal was alternately guarded by Kaspars Nerets and Alen Sprukts. In the second half of the championship, the team is also waiting for the return of Rolandas Putanas and Egīlas Jegorovas.
The situation of Jēkabpilians in the tournament table, despite the three points won, did not change. Our team will play the next match on January 13 away against “RFS Futsal”.l
