ICE: Late goals secure KAC victory in the last one

Salzburg’s gap to KAC (77) is now four points after the 41st round. For the KAC, Thomas Hundertpfund scored the opening goal after six minutes in front of 4,200 spectators, but Anthony Salinitri equalized just 60 seconds later. Only shortly before the end of the game, David Maier (56th) and Nikolaus Kraus (60th) scored shots into the empty goal for the Carinthians’ seventh win in the last eight games.

In Innsbruck, Roy single-handedly shot the guests from Salzburg off the ice. The 30-year-old Canadian, who was an NHL professional for the Anaheim Ducks a few years ago, put the Tyroleans comfortably on the road to victory with four goals in a row.

GEPA/Daniel Schoenherr Kevin Roy truly became “Man of the Match” for Innsbruck with his four goals

Roy netted after 45 seconds, in the power play after nine minutes, in the 19th minute and again in the majority in the second third (25th). Goals from Thomas Raffl (28th/power play), Benjamin Nissner (31st) and Florian Baltram (57th/power play) were not enough for the champions.

Capitals miss another win

Hydro Fehervar lost 2:4 in Bolzano and now has 73 points more in one game, just like Salzburg. Meanwhile, the EC iDM VSV had to admit defeat against HC Pustertal with 2:3 after a penalty shootout.

Goalie JP Lamoureux could not prevent the defeat after the 39-year-old American had recently extended his contract with Villach for another season. The spusu Vienna Capitals left the ice as losers for the third time in a row in a 2:3 defeat at the Pioneers Vorarlberg after a draw in regular time.
