The Carinthians won against the Pioneers Vorarlberg 2-1 and initially moved up to fourth place, just ahead of the Tyroleans, who had the same number of points. After a goalless first third, VSV fell behind against the guests; Guus van Nes (27th) scored for Vorarlberg. However, Benjamin Lanzinger (37th) and Robert Sabolic (52nd/PP) turned the game in favor of Villach, who thus gained an important three points in the fight for a top-six place. For the tenth-placed Pioneers, however, it was the third defeat in a row.

However, the Capitals, who were in eleventh position, were once again unable to capitalize on this and were unable to significantly reduce the gap to Vorarlberg. In the home match against Innsbruck, the Viennese were behind after just 38 seconds thanks to a goal from Senna Peeters. Seamus Donohue (9th/PP) made up for the deficit, but shortly before the first break Lukas Bär was there for the guests (19th).

Dominic Hackl (35th) and Zane Franklin (44th) finally gave the home team the lead. However, the Viennese made a mistake in front of their own goal shortly before the end, which Zachary Magwood knew how to take advantage of (57′). In extra time, the Innsbruck team were in a hurry again: After just 42 seconds, Nick Albano had the Haie celebrating their second away win within 24 hours. The Capitals are still seven points short of the final pre-play-off spot.

Fehervar continues to be at the top

Meanwhile, Fehervar inflicted their first defeat after four victorious games on the wolves from Pustertal. Josh Atkinson (35th) and Anze Kuralt (44th) secured the second home win for the Hungarians within a day. While the hosts moved up to second place, the defeat represents a setback for the eighth-placed Italians in the fight for a direct play-off ticket.
