The Mexican company Bimbo will support national athletes for the Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, by joining the “We Are All Olympic” trust fund of the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM).
This announcement was made this Tuesday at the COM facilities, which was headed by the president of the COM, María José Alcalá, her counterpart from the Mexican Paralympic Committee (COPAME), Liliana Suárez, and the commercial director of Bimbo México, José Manuel González .
This agreement will be the first where a Mexican company will support athletes for two Olympic cycles, where the martial arts of judo and taekwondo will be present.
At the time, María José Alcalá indicated that “Our athletes raise the name of our country high. This is the magic that sport generates when the number one bread manufacturing company in the world Grupo Bimbo believes in its people, in its athletes, in its country.”
For his part, the commercial director of Bimbo México noted that “For many years, at Grupo Bimbo we have supported the practice of sport. We do it because sport is one of the noblest and most constructive activities that a company whose purpose is to feed a better world can carry out.”
Regarding the amount that the Mexican company will contribute, the head of the COM indicated that the committee and Bimbo decided to keep it in reserve.
