According to information circulating so far, he was with other trainers in a restaurant in Salt Lake City when he reported that he was not feeling very well, and ended up entering the emergency room, where they operated on him, although without being able to save his life. .

Although he never reached the NBA as a figure, he did leave his country, when in 2006 he signed for Valencia Basket, from Spain. He retired in 2009.
