The association “Bercé on two wheels” in Marigné-Laillé (Sarthe) is organizing, for the second year in a row, a winter hike “La givrée de Bercé” on Sunday January 14, 2024.
“Last year, we wanted to organize a hike in winter. No association in Sarthe offers such an event. We therefore organized the first edition and we welcomed 600 people,” informs the president of the association, Éric Chargelègue.
Several routes
Several routes will be available on January 14, 2024, by mountain bike of 15, 30, 45 and 60 km and on foot of 9 and 15 km:
The longest mountain bike routes are really aimed at athletes. The other routes are aimed at families, people who want to discover the Bercé forest in winter, or even those who simply want to go for a walk.
It’s also an opportunity to get back on track after the end-of-year holidays: “And for the bravest, it’s possible to do it on a trail! », Specifies the president.
It is possible to register online, on the website helloassoor to register on site, between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sunday January 14: “Registrations range from €4 to €7 online, and €7 on site,” continues the president.
Free departure
The departure will take place at the Grange, the village hall of Marigné-Laillé, the courageous will head towards the forest and follow the route, marked out by the forty volunteers mobilized for the event: “The departures are free. We will not refuse anyone. We will offer coffee at the start, refreshments along the route and a glass of mulled wine or soup on arrival,” said the vice-president, Jean-Paul Bignault.
Finally, the organizers advise “bringing your own cup for refueling”: “We want to preserve an ecological approach. We’re walking in the Bercé forest, we might as well stay green! “.
