A SPORTS HALL OPPOSITE THE COULOMMIERS SCHOOL CAMPUS
The urban community will invest alongside the City of Coulommiers to achieve a
structure comprising:
- offices dedicated to associations,
- a multi-sports hall (basketball, volleyball, handball),
- a dojo for judo,
- a specific gymnastics room,
- a table tennis room,
- a weapons room (fencing),
- a climbing wall.
70% of the members of the sports associations concerned are residents outside Coulommiers, which explains the co-financing of the urban community. Located opposite the Coulommiers school campus, the equipment can also be used by high school students depending on needs.*
*The equipment will be able to accommodate 1,300 local graduates and 2,500 high school students.
PROJECT PROGRESS
On June 29, 2023, the community council adopted the final preliminary project (APD) for the construction of
the Halle des Sports in Coulommiers, and validated the estimated cost of the work and the subsidy request from the Region. The community council definitively decided on the work program and the estimated cost: €6,181,727 excluding tax for the urban community with a remainder of €4,736,727 excluding tax after subsidies.
Start of work scheduled for April/May 2024 for a duration of 18 months.
