From this year onwards, Lotto-Dstny will race on Basque bicycles

After a collaboration of more than 10 years with the Belgian bicycle brand Ridley, Lotto-Dstny is joining forces with the Basque manufacturer Orbea. “Both parties share a rich cycling history and are nestled in regions that breathe racing,” it said.

The Basque top team Euskaltel-Euskadi enjoyed years of success on the Orbea bicycles, now Lotto – Dstny is going to race with them.

“Together we are starting a new era,” he says of leader Arnaud De Lie’s team. “We are both nestled in regions that breathe racing, and we both share a rich history in cycling.”

“Orbea can rely on 183 years of experience and a rich racing DNA. The Basque company is constantly renewing itself, the only way to guarantee long-term success.”

“Lotto-Dstny finds in Orbea an ideal ally to continue improving performance throughout its structure,” says Stéphane Heulot, CEO of the team.

“Adaptation to the new bikes has gone quickly in recent weeks and we feel a huge willingness at Orbea to continuously develop itself. I am convinced that together we can achieve great things.”

The Lotto team rode Ridley bicycles for 12 years. Victor Campenaerts set the world hour record.
