The Orlando Magic around the two German basketball world champions Franz and Moritz Wagner have lost their third game in a row in the NBA.

The team from Florida lost to the Sacramento Kings 135:138 after double overtime. Franz Wagner had to be replaced early with an injury.

Wagner collapsed after just five minutes of play when he tried to block an opponent’s attempted throw. The Magic announced during the game that X-rays had ruled out a serious injury, but Wagner did not return. So far, the 22-year-old has played in all 34 games of the Magic season. His brother Moritz didn’t get past two points. The Magic’s best thrower was Paolo Banchero with 43 points.

Victories for Schröder, Theis and Hartenstein

Dennis Schröder won with the Toronto Raptors against the Memphis Grizzlies 116:111. The guests from Canada ended the first half with a 15-2 run and opened up a difference of up to 20 points in the second half. Schröder started the game again from the bench and scored 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists. For only the third time this season, the Raptors won two games in a row.

Daniel Theis is still on the rise with the Los Angeles Clippers: The 131:122 away win against the Phoenix Suns meant the Clippers’ fourth win in a row and their 13th win from the last 15 games. After the third quarter the guests had already scored 107 points, Theis had six points and three rebounds.

The New York Knicks with Isaiah Hartenstein defeated the Chicago Bulls 116:110 and achieved their third home win in a row. Hartenstein set a personal career best with 20 rebounds, and thanks to ten points, the center marked his third double-double of the season with double-digit scores in two categories.

The Indiana Pacers remain the hottest team in the NBA. After the 142:130 home win over the Milwaukee Bucks, the Pacers have been unbeaten in five games. The hosts pulled away with 47 points in the third quarter, Tyrese Haliburton played strongly with 31 points and twelve assists.
