Football: former Parisian Bitshiabu victim of racism, two young people from the Leipzig training center fired

According to Bild, two young players from the RB Leipzig training center were fired by the German club on Friday. They would be at the origin of racist insults uttered against the young Frenchman El Chadaille Bitshiabu, transferred last summer to Germany from Paris Saint-Germain. According to the German daily, the two U19s had already been noticed for comments of the same nature in the past.

Still according to Bild, the word “n…” would have been pronounced against the French central defender, targeted because of his skin color. “It has been proven that these two players made racist remarks towards their teammates and thus behaved in a highly unsportsmanlike and unacceptable manner. After learning of the incidents, the sports management immediately informed them of their dismissal,” the club told the daily.

Arriving at the 2023 transfer window in Germany, Bitshiabu has still not been able to play with the professional team due to a knee injury. Returning to the professional group in December, he has been on the bench for a few matches.
