The American eliminated the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk to reach the last four in Melbourne.

The duel between Coco Gauff and Marta Kostyuk did not keep its promises, in particular due to a game peppered with mistakes (56 for the American, 51 for the Ukrainian). But at the end of an uncontrollable match, Coco Gauff (seeded n°4) qualified, in pain, 7-6 (8/6), 6-7 (3/7), 6-2 in 3h7 for the first time for the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

For a place in the final, the American will face the Czech Barbora Krejcikova (n°9) or the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (n°2).
