Final Day of Andalusian A8 Championship: Mini Men’s Provincial Teams

On Sunday morning, the final day of the Andalusian A8 Championship of Provincial Teams in the Mini Men’s category was held in the Sabinillas and Las Viñas Sports Center Pavilions in Manilva, which served to define the final classification and to make everyone enjoy those present at a high level of basketball.

The matches have had a large influx of public in the stands, and with the presence of the cameras of fabTV, the streaming platform of the Andalusian Basketball Federation.

Each of the teams played their fourth and final match of the championship after a tournament of many experiences and emotions for all the participating players.

The day began with the match for 7th-8th place at the Las Viñas Pavilion between Jaén and Almería, which ended with the Almeria team winning 62-71. In the Pavilion of the Las Sabinillas Sports Center, the match between the Seville and Malaga teams was held for the bronze medal, which would finally end up being won by the Costa del Sol team (61-80).

In the second round of matches, the spectators at the Las Viñas Pavilion witnessed the clash between Huelva and Cádiz for 5th-6th place, in which the Cádiz team won (71-31). At 12:00 p.m. the grand final of the Andalusian A8 Championship of Provincial Mini Women’s Teams 2024 between Granada and Córdoba began at the Las Sabinillas Sports Center. The Córdoba team took the title and won the final by 31-72 and was thus proclaimed champion of Andalusia of the Mini Men’s Provincial Teams.

The final day was attended by Antonio De Torres García, president of the Andalusian Basketball Federation, José Manuel Fernández, mayor of Manilva, Javier Díaz, director of Sports of the Provincial Council of Málaga, Fina Gómez, councilor for Health, Education, Employment and Training of the Manilva City Council, Rogelio Pascual López, Sports Councilor of the Manilva City Council, José Luis Pena, vice president of the FAB and provincial delegate in Huelva, Agustín Vargas, 1st deputy mayor and works councilor of the Manilva City Council, Ricardo Bandrés, vice president of the FAB and provincial delegate in Malaga, Gema Sótano, councilor for Beaches and Rafael Mena, president of the CB Manilva Basket, who in addition to attending the event, participated in the delivery of the different trophies and medals to all the participants of the tournament.
