FEPCUBE Team to Debut in Intercontinental Professional Baseball Series in Barranquilla

The Cuban Professional Baseball Federation (FEPCUBE) team will debut on January 26 against the Japan team, in the Intercontinental Series that will take place in Barranquilla.

The Cubans will face the Asians in the second game of the opening day, which will be opened by the teams from Curacao and the United States. Then, at the close of the card, the locals will measure their strength against South Korea, always at the Edgar Rentería stadium.

During the exchange held by the FEPCUBE directors at the MegaTV headquarters, the good atmosphere among the coaches and baseball players called to join the team, composed mostly of emigrated Cuban baseball players, several of them with experience in the Major Leagues, emerged.

MLB players such as the Gurriel brothers, Yandy Díaz, Jorge Soler and relievers Aroldis Chapman, Yennier Cano and Cionel Pérez are part of the FEPCUBE roster for the Intercontinental Series that will take place in Colombia.

Organized by Team Renteria USA, the Intercontinental Series, previously called the Latin American Series, will have the expanded presence of several representations this year, in addition to the usual ones, such as Colombia, Mexico or Nicaragua.
