Félix Auger-Aliassime Faces Frenchman Hugo Grenier in Second Round of Australian Open

Follow all the action at the Australian Open from 7 p.m. with RDS2 and RDS.ca. Starting at midnight, tennis will be presented on RDS.

Félix Auger-Aliassime is looking to reach the third round of the Australian Open on Wednesday night.

For the occasion, the Quebecer crosses swords with the 178th racket in the world, the Frenchman Hugo Grenier. The two men represent the fourth match played on the 1573 Arena court. Everything indicates that the match will start after midnight.

Auger-Aliassime faced quite a challenge in his first round match with a five-set victory over Dominic Thiem. If the 30th player in the ATP rankings had to work hard to continue his progress, the same goes for Grenier who also needed five rounds of his own. Coming from qualifying, the Frenchman got the better of his compatriot Alexandre Muller.

Last year, the Quebecer was able to make his way to the fourth round of the Australian Open. He also reached the quarter-finals in 2022.

The winner of the match between Auger-Aliassime and Grenier will possibly find third seed Daniil Medvedev in the next round. He must first defeat Emil Ruusuvuori in a contested clash tonight.
