FC Bayern Munich’s Pursuit of Fikayo Tomori: A New Defensive Move in the Works?

When looking for a defender, FC Bayern Munich asked Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan, but was apparently turned down.

According to a report from Sky, the German record champions are said to have looked into signing the 26-year-old and have already asked the Serie A club about it. However, the Milanese are not willing to give up the central defender, as the Rossoneri are particularly in need of defense due to injuries.

Is FC Bayern daring to make a new move?

Furthermore, Tomori himself is not interested in leaving. However, according to Sky, FC Bayern does not want to give up yet and a new attempt by Munich cannot be ruled out. Tomori would be the second defender that Bayern are currently looking for: Barcelona’s Ronald Araújo is considered coach Thomas Tuchel’s desired transfer, but the Uruguayan, who is tied to Barcelona for the long term, also does not want to move to FCB.

Tomori plays the majority of his games in the central defender position, but can also play right-back if necessary and would fill a gap at FC Bayern. The Canadian native has been wearing the Rossoneri jersey since 2021 and is currently the undisputed regular player there. He appeared in five international matches for England.
