REPUBLIKBOBOTOH.COM – Borneo FC Samarinda officially announced a new agreement with its flagship winger Fajar Fathur Rahman for the next 2 years.

The player, who had tasted his junior career with Persib Bandung, is certain to remain in the Pesut Etam uniform until 2025.

Fajar Fathur Rahman’s work in the Borneo FC squad so far is said to be irreplaceable in the right full back position. Even though he is only 21 years old, Fajar has proven that he deserves to be the first choice.

“Yes, we have officially extended the duration of Fajar’s contract by 2 years. We all know how much he has contributed to Borneo FC so far and this is a form of our appreciation for the hard work he has given,” said the president of the Borneo FC club, Nabil Husien Said Amin, as quoted from the club’s official website, Thursday 4 January 2024.

Fajar Fathur Rahman himself has defended Borneo FC since the 2020 season and Pesut Etam was the first club to give him the opportunity to play at senior level.

“Hopefully in the future Fajar can continue to maintain its consistency and bring Borneo FC to achieve success,” he concluded.

When he was still a teenager, Fajar Fatur Rahman defended Persib. He was a classmate of Beckham Putra Nugraha when he defended Persib junior.

Over time he developed quite rapidly. In fact, in 2023 he was part of the Indonesian National Team squad which won the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia and ended the long wait of 32 years.**
