There are no major changes to All-Star Weekend compared to last season. The Rising Stars Challenge will take place again on Friday, where the league’s up-and-coming young stars will compete against each other in a small tournament.
On Saturday, selected players will compete in the Skills Challenge as well as the three-man and dunk contest. According to NBA insider Shams Charania, there will be something new in the 3PT competition: For the first time in history, a WNBA player, Sabrina Ionescu, will take part. The New York Liberty guard holds the three-point record across all genders with 37/40 possible points.
The finale of All-Star Weekend finally takes place on Sunday with the All-Star Game. The best players from both conferences meet here in the West/East duel.

A complete list of all participants in the various competitions has not yet been published. However, isolated information about it has leaked. SPOX summarizes all the information that currently exists.
There is currently no information on this. However, we know from previous years that the best rookies (draft class of 2023) and sophomores (class of 2022) can take part in this competition. A German player would therefore not be an option. What is clear, however, is that players like Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren will receive an invitation.
So far only one name has been mentioned in connection with the Skills Challenge. As Shams Charania reported, Victor Wembanyama from the San Antonio Spurs is scheduled to take part in the competition. However, there is no official confirmation.
Here too, the information situation is still sparse. Laut Chris Haynes from the US broadcaster TNT, however, Damian Lillard will try to defend his title from last year. As already mentioned, Stephen Curry and WNBA player Sabrina Ionescu are also flirting with participation.
As Heat insider Greg Sylvander writes at “X”, Miami rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. is expected to take part in the slam dunk contest. Last year’s winner Mac McClung, who has now been “relegated” to the G-League, is likely to be invited again as defending champion.
The all-star voting is over, which means the first participants have been chosen. In the West, LeBron James received the most votes, in the East, Giannis Antetokounmpo received this honor. Both players lead their respective conferences onto the field as captains.

The NBA All-Star Weekend will be broadcast by the streaming service DAZN. The platform shows all five competitions exclusively – similar to previous years.
