Erik González has two hits in Leones del Esgido’s 8-1 win over the Tigres del Licey

SANTO DOMINGO– Shortstop Erik González had two hits with an RBI in the Leones del Esgido’s 8-1 victory over the Tigres del Licey on Tuesday in the Round Robin of the Dominican Baseball League.

It was the Lions’ third straight win, while it was the Tigers’ fourth loss to tie for second place in the semifinal.

The Tigres del Licey made five errors that were vital for the victory of El Esgido, who had five hits on offense.

In the previous game the Tigers made four errors, adding nine in two days. Sergio Alcántara tied the Round Robin mark with three.

Cameron Gann in 2.2 innings, gave up two hits, with three walks and six strikeouts against thirteen batters faced.
