Durango Prepares to Host Macro-regional Sports Meeting for Conade 2024 Nationals

This weekend the municipal chess phase takes place, but even so Durango is already preparing to host the Macro-regional meeting.

Durango had also applied to host the disciplines of volleyball, taekwondo, basketball, 3×3 basketball and chess, but only in the case of sports science is where the athletes will be housed.

The venues were defined as follows: chess in Durango, athletics is pending, basketball in Chihuahua, 3×3 basketball in Zacatecas, baseball in Nuevo León, boxing in Nuevo León.

Cycling can take place in Nuevo León, fronton in Nuevo León, soccer in Baja California, handball in Sonora, judo in Nuevo León, karate in San Luis Potosí, weightlifting in Nuevo León, associated fights in Zacatecas, softball in Baja California, tennis in Chihuahua, table tennis in Coahuila, triathlon possibly in Nuevo León.

The states that are part of macroregion A are Baja California Sur, Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Durango, Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Coahuila.

In Tijuana, Baja California, the director of the State Sports Institute (IED), César Cárdenas, was present at the meeting for the meeting of Macroregion A heading to the Conade 2024 Nationals.

Also present were Cuauhtémoc Romero Germán of the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) and representatives of the 11 states that make up said macro-region, where they voted for the venues for this stage, where Durango, on February 15 will serve as host for the next meeting.

It was the Conade authorities themselves who urged the sports directors in the states to carry out, as soon as possible, the state stage of the different sports disciplines called for in the highest national sports event, without yet defining the venues that JNC 2024.
