Dominic Thiem will take part in the Australian Open on Monday (from around 10:30 a.m. CET in the LIVE ticker and on ServusTV).
At the start, the 2020 finalist will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime – number 27 in the tournament.
Auger-Aliassime has recently been struggling with health problems. At the United Cup he only played doubles; at the tournament in Auckland the 23-year-old’s final stop was in Round 1 against the German Daniel Altmaier.
After losing to Andy Murray, Thiem won the invitational tournament “Kooyong Classic” against Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, No. 22 in the tennis world, 6:3, 6:3.
In the head-to-head it is 1-0 for the Austrian, who is currently only No. 94 in the ATP rankings. But the only duel so far was a long time ago: in 2020 at the US Open, Thiem won against Auger-Aliassime 7:6, 6:1, 6:1.
