Sinner: «I can’t wait to play»

Facing Kachanov wasn’t easy for Sinner, as he himself stated at the end of the match: «It’s been a long time since we played against him, Karen is a tough opponent, an incredible player from a mental and physical point of view. In the past I won with him, but every match has its own story. I’m happy with the victory, but it was difficult. We have similar tennis, sometimes it feels like a ping-pong game. Sometimes I try to vary it and I’m happy with the result. I’m not always cold, but I try to show little emotion when I lose a point. But of course I’m annoyed and I put on a poker face.”

The next thought immediately went to the next match: «I can’t wait to play, it will be complicated: I will face it with a smile. It’s a joy to play in front of this audience – underlines Sinner -. It’s fun to play, try to compete and raise the level when conditions get tough. Rublev or De Minaur? I’m a tennis fan, I’ll watch the game. If Alex wins the crowd will be a factor, but it’s part of the game. When I play in Italy everyone cheers for me.”
