Diaconal ordination of the seminarian Simone De Marchis, at the Con-Cathedral Basilica of “Santa Maria Assunta” – Segni.
Event next Sunday 7 January 2024 – 6.00 pm, in the presence of Monsignor Stefano Russo Bishop of Velletri-Segni and Frascati, who will ordain as deacon the seminarian Simone De Marchis, the young priest born in Velletri in 1992. His Catholic education begins since he was a child at the parish of “San Giovanni Battista” to continue in the Cathedral Basilica of “San Clemente I Papa”, also in Velletri.
He attended schools in Velletri and graduated from the “Ipssar Ugo Tognazzi” hotelier institute.
Immediately after graduation, while he trained with some work experiences, he continued his parish activity and at the same time, thanks to a good path of vocational discernment, he decided to embark on the path of the priesthood. On 25 October 2017 he entered the training and study itinerary at the Pontifical Leonian College of Anagni, a regional seminary for the suburban dioceses and southern Lazio.
In these six years of training Simone De Marchis carried out his ministry from 1 September 2018 to 29 September 2022 in the parishes of Santa Maria Assunta and Santa Maria degli Angeli in Segni. Since 29 October 2022 he has been ministering in the parishes of the city of Artena.
