Community Sports and Productive Workshops Benefit Thousands in La Molina District

Around two thousand people, including children, young people and adults in the La Molina district, are benefiting this summer thanks to the different sports activities and productive workshops organized by our municipality.

Participants ranging from one year old to older adults arrive with their parents, alone or as a family to the different venues that are located in areas such as El Cascajal, Musa, Cerro Azul, Rinconada, Matazango, Constructores and Los Pinos.

The little ones receive early stimulation and music therapy, while primary school students with some learning problems receive reinforcement in mathematics and communication. And older adults participate in folk dance classes, choir, tango and other productive workshops.

In this sense, workshops on flower decoration, mixed embroidery and ribbon, Ayacucho embroidery, jewelry, aluminum embossing and fake stained glass have been scheduled, with which they are prepared for some undertaking.

The youngest ones have theater, painting, guitar, modern dance, choir and mime workshops.

Likewise, at the sporting level, boys and girls take part in the disciplines of football, volleyball, tennis, judo, bocce, fencing, shooting, roller and skateboard.

Mayor Diego Uceda, who made an inspection visit to some of the headquarters, highlighted the effort his administration makes to cover activities that benefit different age populations.

“Although summer vacations are related to the children and young people of the house, in La Molina we are a big family and we must all take advantage of these days and times because we also want them to participate together with the objective that everyone enjoys it and relax,” he said.
