FRASCATI (politics) – Despite the redevelopment works of recent months, the state of the city’s viewpoint leaves much to be desired

Walk outside, flowerbeds and paving
The undersigned city councilors
Given that
• Frascati boasts one of belvedere more beautiful than the Castelli Romani, a symbolic place of the city, celebrated by many painters and writers not least Emile Zola, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view;

• The belvedere is not only a popular tourist destination but is also a meeting place for many Frascan residents who, every day of the year and at all hours, under the shade in summer and in the warm sun in winter, enjoy the healthiness;
• The intervention of Extraordinary maintenance, awaited for many years, it was welcomed by the citizens with attention, curiosity, and great expectation of improvement, but that is expectations were totally disregarded.
• The administration with great fanfare passed off the end of this work as the “Inauguration of the new pavement” on the occasion of the celebrations for the eightieth anniversary of the bombing, inaugurating it with a ribbon cutting on 8 September;

• The outcome of the intervention, however, appears to be totally inadequate: in addition to the tree falling due to carelessness in tilling the land; the floor tilespart of which was recycled from the previous flooring, are and were already, mostly get injuredand with bad weather they can easily create disruptions in the walking path again;
• The flowerbed area is inadequate without protection from soil and water spilling onto the sidewalk;
• The unprotected plants dried up after the first planting and the situation worsened as soon as they were planted food and wine events and trade fairs which have followed one another from September until today.
• The fence shrubs planted without respecting the same species as the plants that have already been planted for years (cherry laurel) and in any case dry, crushed by the passage of pedestrians and by the total inattention of the sellers who often use the flowerbeds as temporary landfills, as can be seen from the attached photos;
• The irrigation system is totally inefficient now torn up and above ground which not only loses its function but becomes risky for those who inadvertently, in moments of crowds, may trip over pipes and tubes while walking;
They question the Mayor and the competent Councilors to find out the costs of arranging flowerbedswho supported the costs of replanting after the autumn events and how much was spent, if a new restoration and who will bear the costs; know the times for restoring the aforementioned both as regards the systems and the green furniture.
