Charges Dropped: Jackson Mahomes, Brother of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Faces Reduced Criminal Charges

A judge dropped three felony charges against Jackson Mahomesthe younger brother of the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, at the request of the prosecution.

Initially faced three counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of misdemeanor assault for a February incident at a Kansas City restaurant, but now faces only the misdemeanor assault charge.

The charges arose from accusations that he pushed a waiter and forcibly kissed the restaurant owner.

The alleged victim did not testify

The alleged sexual assault victim refused to testify, stating that his meeting with Mahomes was consensual and that he did not tell the truth to the police.

Surveillance footage, which contradicts his claims, showed Mahomes grabbing and kissing the woman extensively.

The state proceeded to pressing charges despite the victim’s refusal to cooperate, emphasizing the existence of the images.

The remaining misdemeanor charge relates to Mahomes’ alleged attack on the waiter.

The restaurant involved, Aspens Restaurant and Lounge, cerró since then and the owner regretted the police involvement and reported damage to outside pipes after the incident.

“He kissed me out of nowhere,” Vaughn told the Kansas City Star.

“And I said to him, pushing him and saying, ‘What are you doing?’ And then he proceeded to do it two more times, and last time I pushed it and I could see on the cameras that someone was outside the office door and I was yelling at them to come help because it’s big and huge.”
