Casey Stoner criticizes Ducati for winning using 8 motorbikes

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Currently Ducati is the best manufacturer in MotoGP. Ducati managed to win the world racer’s title and constructor’s title two seasons in a row.

Even with four teams and eight motorbikes on the track, all Ducati riders can be said to be competitive. Ducati riders also compete with each other, for example Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin.

However, according to the 2007 MotoGP World Champion, Casey Stoner, having eight motorbikes on the track is actually not something to be proud of.

“I’m not too happy with the fact that they have so many motorbikes on the grid,” said Stoner as quoted by Motorsport, Thursday (11/1/2024).

“So, they can control all the teams and demand inappropriate results from them. It’s normal if there are team orders, but there shouldn’t be factory orders (team orders),” said Stoner.

Stoner, who was the person who was able to win the title with Ducati when the Italian manufacturer was still at the bottom, said that when Ducati was at the top like now he had less respect.

“I lost a lot of respect for them after they reached this level. “If they have to win at any cost to me, they have no honor,” he said.
