Jadon Sancho’s star rose in Dortmund, and now his stagnating career there could get back on track. According to media reports, BVB wants to loan the Englishman from Manchester United. Corresponding discussions are ongoing, but there are other interested parties.

BVB’s first two new signings started work on Tuesday: Nuri Sahin and Sven Bender, however, are no longer playing on the pitch, but are instead strengthening head coach Edin Terzic’s coaching team. However, it is quite possible that Dortmund will soon have new, but well-known staff available on the pitch.

Jadon Sancho may be about to return to Borussia after all. As the pay TV broadcaster Sky reported, those responsible at BVB and Sancho’s current employer, Manchester United, are in concrete discussions about a loan deal until the end of the season. The England international himself is said to be open to a move to Dortmund. According to “Bild”, the financial volume of the planned deal should amount to three million euros including salary and loan fee. According to English media reports, other clubs are also interested in the offensive player, including West Ham United from the Premier League.

The 23-year-old Sancho fell out of favor at Man United after his criticism of coach Erik ten Hag and is expected to leave the English record champions in the winter. There have been rumors about a return to BVB for a long time, but sports director Sebastian Kehl publicly commented on them at the beginning of October: “Not an issue at all.”

Sancho’s contract runs until 2026

Sancho played at BVB from 2017 to 2021 and also became an England international there. He moved to Man United for a fee of at least 85 million euros and has a contract there until mid-2026.
