Burgos BH closed its participation in the Tour of Sharjah by climbing to the final podium as winner of the team classification. The six purple riders completed a great team performance during the five stages in the United Arab Emirates and were almost four minutes ahead of the second classified team. As for the final overall, the Burgos team placed all its men in the top-35 of the race, with Jambaljamts Sainbayar fifth, Ángel Fuentes ninth and Óscar Pelegrí thirteenth.
The last stage of the race took place without any major surprises, as the wind did not appear on the long straights of the course. Aparicio, Franco and Sainbayar were active in the initial part of the stage, looking for an escape in the most mountainous terrain. At the halfway point of the day, Burgos BH tried to accelerate the race, but could not form fans in the only section in which the wind was blowing from the side. On the approach to the goal, Fuentes took advantage of the winding terrain to launch an attack and try to surprise the fast men. His movement was controlled by the peloton, where Pelegrí finished as the best purple in the sprint.
