Brown fat? Find out what it is and how to activate it

???? We’ve been talking about a particular type of fat for the last two Sundays at the #deejaytrainingcenter. This is brown fat – or brown – a type of fat that is good for you: it can protect against cardiovascular diseases and help you lose weight.

????Not all fat comes to harm, in fact. The white one, which should be kept in an optimal area, neither in excess nor in deficiency, has the task of storing energy, the brown one burns it, for example producing heat when we find ourselves in the cold and stimulating a hormone, irisin, which allows to convert white adipose tissue into brown.

❓HOW TO ACTIVATE BROWN FAT?
Training consistently in itself allows its activation, more specifically its levels increase when we do:
⏺️ a high intensity interval training (HIIT) aerobic workout;
*️⃣ exercise in the cold.

❄️This explains why there are populations such as the Eskimos and Lapps who manage to live at really low temperatures.

I would therefore say that from today there is a good reason to go out for a run and a walk even in the cold!
