Nicolas Oliva, together with Faizan Aslam from Alba, reaches the Doubles final against the former Italian Lukas Osele and Auditya Hidayatt, with a recent past in the “top ten” of Indonesian players. The Piedmontese duo fails to get the upper hand and finishes with a deficit of 21-8 21-13, taking home the silver medal.
Bronze instead for Tommaso Trezza from Serravalle in the U17 category who was stopped by the home player Daniele Segato in the semi-final.
Previously the “Boccardo” standard bearer was beaten, in a team with Stefano Torrielli, in the quarterfinals of the U19 Doubles in a Savoy derby against the Langhe players Federico Cagnasso and Leonardo Fava by 21-13 18-21 18-21. In the U19 Singles Torrielli lost in the round of 16 against Tancredi Virzì of SSD Ludens from Ragusa in two sets. Daniel Albiero also participated in the trip to Lombardy, having exited in the first rounds of both the Singles and Doubles in the U19 Category.
