Blanca Iris Alejo Leads “Athletes with Inefi” Program at República de Colombia Basic School

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Institute of Physical Education continued this Thursday its “Athletes with Inefi” program, with which exhibitions, talks and deliveries of props are carried out to the country’s schools, benefiting in this occasion at the República de Colombia Basic School, in Ensanche Luperón, in this city.

For the activity, headed by the immortal of Dominican Sports, María García, Inefi coordinator, several chess sets, badminton rackets, table tennis rackets and balls, as well as volleyball balls and nets were supplied.

In his speech, García highlighted that the purpose of the “Athletes with Inefi” program is to “integrate sport in educational centers, constantly implementing talks and exhibitions of different sports disciplines.”

«We thank this educational center for opening its doors to us to bring you this valuable program with which Inefi aims to obtain young people with values, with principles; “And what better than with education and sports,” the judoka said in her presentation.

He urged the students and physical education teachers of the school campus to use and maintain in good condition the props provided by the decentralized institution.

In this sense, the director of the school, Soraida María Rodríguez, enthusiastically thanked the contribution made by Inefi, since with “it we will be able to carry out recreational and recreational days in our study center.”

The exhibitions were directed by the master of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), Braulio Ramírez; the Immortal of Dominican sports Blanca Iris Alejo, in table tennis, and the Pan American medalist Nelson Javier Ozuna, in badminton.

At the table of honor were the psychologist Evelin Liriano, the physical education teacher José Castillo, the student Felipe Salcié Almánzar, María García, Blancas Iris Alejo de Jackson, Nelson Javier Ozuna and Braulio Ramírez.
