Göttingen. A duel between the neighbors in the table is on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Tübingen’s Paul Horn Arena – and a duel between two basement children of the Basketball Bundesliga: The 15th-placed Tigers Tübingen welcome BG Göttingen, which is in 16th place, one place above the relegation zone. The Violets have lost three times in a row, the Tigers even lost four times.

The longing for success is correspondingly great for both teams, and there is another parallel: both teams have recently suffered a lot of defeat – the Violets lost 85:106 at the EWE Baskets Oldenburg, the Tübingen team even lost 78:114 admit defeat at the Syntainics MBC. Tigers Tübingen: Masters leaves club after three months
While the violet fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of the new addition to the point guard position, David DeJulius, Tübingen has one less development player: After just three months, Javon Masters left the team and is moving to the second French league. The newcomer signed the 29-year-old Masters in October, reacting to the loss of his regular development player, the Finn Aatu Kivimäki.

One name in particular stands out among the BG opponents – that of Jhivvan Jackson: The point guard from Puerto Rico leads the BBL scorer list with an average of 20.1 points per game, ahead of Tommy Kuhse from Rasta Vechta and Otis Livingston II (Würzburg). Jackson is sixth in three-pointers. In the game in Weißenfels he scored 23 points.
