Basketball: record attendance in Betclic Elite rooms, Paris Basketball and Mets 92 lagging behind

After Ligue 1, it is the turn of Betclic Élite to congratulate itself on a new attendance record in its rooms. In total, more than 550,000 people have attended a French basketball championship match since the start of the season, a figure similar to that of last season. 53 matches took place in full houses, or one match in three. On average, 3,632 spectators were present at each meeting.

But it is above all the occupancy rates which are excellent. Thus, CSP Limoges displays the best rate, 100%, with 4,899 supporters during each home meeting. Blois, SLUC Nancy, Saint-Quentin follow closely. It is the people of Nancy who welcome the most spectators on average: 5,930. Conversely, three clubs are lagging behind. The worst is AS Monaco, with only 2,082 spectators on average at the Salle Gaston-Médecin, or 46% of their capacity.

The Ile-de-France clubs are not doing much better. While they were regularly full last season thanks to Victor Wembanyama, the Metropolitans 92 saw their attendance significantly drop. There are only 1,997 people present in Levallois-Perret, in a room that is already small. Paris Basketball does not unleash passions either since the Halle Carpentier is only 69% full during matches.

“These excellent figures illustrate the formidable dynamics of Betclic Elite,” rejoiced Fabrice Jouhaud, general director of the LNB, in a press release. The public’s enthusiasm is a great reward for the daily work of our clubs and the quality of the show offered on and off the field. It is also an encouragement to continue our transformation and development initiatives in order to introduce as many people as possible to the virtuosity of the players, the intensity of our Championship and the warmth of the atmosphere in our Arenas. »
