EA7 Milano’s chances of qualifying for the Euroleague post-season are slimming down.
Olimpia, despite the recovery of Shields and the debut of McGruder, lost an important direct clash in Valencia (72-84) and are three victories away from the top 10 places which qualify for the play-ins. Milan started strong and took an 11-point lead at the start of the third period before disappearing: Olimpia scored 56 points in 27′, but just 14 in the following 10′, resulting in a truly heavy defeat. Napier scores 20 points, Hall 17 but the 0-13 completely changes the inertia of the match and distances Milan from the post-season discussion. It is the defense that betrays Ettore Messina: 5 Valencia players reach double figures, led by the former Davies (15, also author of an amazing block on Melli).
