Baltimore Ravens’ Head Coach John Harbaugh to Rest Lamar Jackson in Week 18 Matchup with Pittsburgh Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens are assured of first place in the American Conference in the 2023 NFL season. Since his spot will remain intact, head coach John Harbaugh has decided that Lamar Jackson, the starting quarterback, will take a week off when his team faces the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Ravens head coach announced that the starting quarterback to face the Steelers will be Tyler Huntley while Josh Johnson will serve as the backup. This means that Jackson will spend almost 20 days without playing because the Divisional Round games will take place on January 20 and 21.

Huntley has been a member of the Baltimore franchise since 2020, as an undrafted rookie from the University of Utah to be Jackson’s backup. For his life, he has accumulated 1,811 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
