Baja Californian Shooter Romina Robles Aims for 2024 Olympic Qualification

“I am going to pause school for a month, I am not giving up my academic instruction because I want to fulfill the dream that I have had since I was very little of going to the Olympic Games representing my city, my state and obviously my country,” said the marksman
The first competition of the tour will begin on January 24 in Cairo, Egypt, which will give points to stay in the ranking and be considered for the Mexican team that competes in the world’s top competition.
The competition is part of the international calendar in which world-class shooters will meet in which Robles seeks to secure his place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“I am dedicating the whole day to preparation, depending on what my trainers tell me are the routines, but in the morning and afternoon I do gym sessions, therapy, obviously I do rounds of shooting and of course I follow the nutritionist’s instructions” said the Baja Californian athlete who revealed that she has a large multidisciplinary team.
In order to reach the goal, after the competition in Egyptian lands, the Baja Californian will continue with the tour by stopping on January 31 in Holland and will conclude on February 10 in the land dreamed of by God, Granada, Spain.
Robles, at the CONADE 2023 Nationals, contributed to the Baja Californian team with two gold medals in the 10-meter air pistol, one individually and the second as a team alongside Mia Rosales and Sharon Godoy in the 18-23 category. The medals helped the discipline He finished in third place in the national medal table with six first places and two bronzes.
“I will resume courses once this is over, but right now my whole being is focused on getting my qualification for the Olympic Games,” said the shooter who is a student of the degree in Gastronomy.
Currently Alexis Vladimir López in rowing, Alexa Moreno in artistic gymnastics and Daniela Souza, in Tae Kwon Do in combat mode, are the three Baja Californian athletes who are guaranteed to participate in Paris 2024.
