Australian Open Winners Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner See No Course Improvements in Rankings

There were no course improvements for the Australian Open winners Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner.

Sabalenka is still second, but has come within 865 points of leading Pole Iga Swiatek. Kazakh Jelena Rybakina lost two places, meaning US Open winner Coco Gauff (USA) is now third, immediately ahead of compatriot Jessica Pegula.

In the men’s category, Sinner remained fourth, 455 points behind Daniil Medvedev, who lost to him in the final.

Ofner remains in the top 40 – Thiem is making up places

The Serbian Novak Djokovic is still in the lead, only 600 points ahead of the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz and 1,090 points ahead of Medvedev.

From an Austrian perspective, Sebastian Ofner lost three places and is now 40th, Dominic Thiem moved up two positions to 90th. Both are in action against Ireland at the Davis Cup in Limerick at the weekend.

Among the women, the convalescent Julia Grabher is currently in 103rd place, Sinja Kraus improved by 15 places to 185th position thanks to her ITF semi-final in Porto. The latter is playing in Linz this week thanks to a wildcard in the main competition and will face the French Clara Burel (WTA 52nd) for the first time in round one.
